On her own journey of discovering deeper states of health, balance, peace and joy.. she is grateful to assist others on theirs.
Melissa is a passionate nature enthusiast and outdoor educator. Hiking, climbing, foraging, and natural waters are just a few favorites! She is the proud sole parent of an incredible three year old, and a frisbee catching cattle dog.
When asked about her future in the health and medical field Melissa Happel says, “I’m currently interested in the interdisciplinary fields of Ethnobotany, Ethnopharmacognosy, and Permaculture; Expanding Western colonization has created an interconnected ecological crises of both the depletion of human digestive micro biome and the depletion of environmental macro biome caused by unsustainable agriculture practices and food production. I believe native botanicals as food medicine is the missing link, and the solution to the crises."
